AT&T has opened a mobile app development center in Plano, TX. The center is called a Foundary. The location is a technology hub for new developments and advancement.  The goal is to reduce the average time it takes for an app to be launched onto the app market from 18 months to 6 months.

"The AT&T Foundry in Plano is a slick, high-tech workspace designed to connect developers with experts already employed at the telecommunications giant.

Giant touchscreens and digital whiteboards are scattered throughout the facility.

There are only a handful of glass-enclosed conference rooms, as the goal is for developers to collaborate openly in the central area."
