Looking for a little fun in the sun? Allen has approved for a cable operated wakeboard park to open.

"Allen City Council recently approved an agreement to bring a cable-operated outdoor wakeboard park to Allen. Development has begun in the southern portion of Allen Station Park, just east of The Edge. There will be two lakes, one approximately 5 acres and another almost 2 acres in size. A full service pro shop will also be built matching the style of existing buildings at Allen Station Park.

Plans are set to open this summer."
